Stag's Head Cabled Scarf Class
Learn to knit the iconic Stag’s Head Cabled scarf—do you see the deer head and antlers! Any yarn will work for this project if you adjust your needle size accordingly. In this class you’ll learn how to use a cable needle. The class cost is for instruction and scarf pattern only. Needles, yarn, and cable needle can be purchased the day of the class at a 10% discount. Since this is not a beginning knitting class, students should already know how to knit and purl, cast on and cast off.
Can you take this class with a friend? Absolutely! Select ‘2’ when adding the class to your basket. Although the system allows you to sign up more than 2 people, we allow a maximum of 2 people per class so as to give each student the utmost attention. You’re welcome to sign up more than 2 people during check out, but we’ll ask that you enroll in separate sessions with a maximum of 2 students for each session when we call to arrange scheduling.
Classes are taught one-on-one, unless you sign up with a friend!
We’ll meet at Gorges Fiber Arts located at 195 Main Street in Historic downtown Owego, NY. This class is offered on the following days/times:
Wednesdays/Thursdays starting between 3:00- 4:30; Thursdays starting between 12:00-3:30, and Saturdays 2:00-3:30. This class meets one time for 1.5 hours. The instructor will email you after you enroll to schedule the day/time of your class. Please make sure you allow emails from gorgesfiber@gmail.com. After taking the class, we’ll still be available to help you with your project at no extra cost, just come in, have a seat, and we’ll help you—you’re in the club!
Refund / Class credit policy: Because workshops only meet for a very limited time we cannot offer refunds unless we cancel the class, in which case you will be fully refunded.
